the sand box and the ghetto shower
Apartment living has its limitations. I have no yard, good for the fact i have no lawn to mow, but also no place of my own for kids normal outdoor things. I am creative tho, and decided to get a small under the bed box for the small patio i have and filled it with sand so my daughter could have a sand box. Tonight was the first night i let her play in it…. it may never be repeated. She started out as any normal kid would, making lil sand castles, then shoveling sand on the patio…. making a lil mess but, ok, whatever, she is a kid. Then she practically dove into the sand box, rubbing it on her feet, legs, her clothes… she was head to toe covered in wet sand. There was no way in hell i was bringing her into the apartment like that…. so i was trying to rinse her off with water from the watering can…. giving her sorta a ghetto shower. The whole thing is on the big sister’s video cam… no words can describe how hilarious this whole episode was…. it was priceless.
